anging out at auctions may not be every single woman's idea of fun, but Renny loves it. This night, the auction house was unusually crowded with newcomers and others seeking a bargain on vintage guns, glassware and other collectibles. But it was a lot of Civil War items that Renny had her eye on. She was not the only one. She would have to bid against her auction rival, Duane Weber, to win. Something she was used to. On more than one occasion, he would outbid her, driving up the price of the targeted lot.
"Don't be shocked by how much I bid on that Civil War lot," she said to her mother, "I'm not going to let him win this time!"
Renny did win the majority of the Civil War items, but in doing so she literally got more than she bargained for. Within a few days of storing the items in her garage, Renny experiences some unusual and unexplained occurrences. Dishes crash on the floor in the middle of the night, doors open and shadows appear. After hearing a voice and experiencing an unusual burn on her face, she knew it was time to ask for help. The only person she knew to turn to about this was none other that Duane Weber- her auction enemy- a college professor with experience in the paranormal.
